Latest on BF Las Pinas Water

This email was received from Mr. Antonio Tinsay:

"Water Update as of 24 Nov 2009

"A. Maynilad’s entry to the Las Pinas portion of BF Homes Subd.

"We (UBFHAI) received advice from Mayniad earlier today that they will start the digging for the laying of the main and secondary lines for the LPC portion tomorrow, Wed., 25Nov.09, at the corner of Tropical Ave and El Grande Ave. Maynilad is requesting for homeowners’ / and residents’ presence in the area to provide people power support in case BFHi may again block Maynilads agents from performing their contracted works, similar to the incidences before at TEHA, KKHA and Parklane.

"Thus, we request concerned BF homeowners, particularly the LPC residents, to please give us your support with your presence in the area.

"If you still have it, please wear the Water / Tubig T-shirt that UBFHAI handed out before.

"We request also our Paranaque and Muntinlupa homeowners to please provide us your support as well even though you already have water or about to be connected to Maynilad soon.

"Thank you and see you tomorrow, Wednesday, 830am, at the corner of El Grande and Tropical Ave.

"B. Maynilad Water connection of remaining Paranaque Enclaves

"Enclaves along Aguirre Extension and El Grande Ave (Aratiles, Midwest, Kanluran and Lisbon)

"Pipelaying works on these enclaves completed. Water meter installation is now in progress. From all indications, these enclaves will have maynilad potable water flowing from their faucets before Christmas.

"Enclaves along Elizalde and Concha Cruz Avenues:

"Based on latest update we received from Maynilad they will be ready to present the water sytem design for each enclave and the corresponding cost estimate this week. We will inform all concerned as soon as Maynilad is ready to meet with the officers of the concerned enclaves, hopefully, early next week

"BF Northwest

"Altho they have signed already the MOA with Maynilad, the excavation works can not be started yet as they seem to be encountering problem in raising the funds necessary for excavation (P8,000 per homeowner). They recently wrote a letter to Maynilad requesting for the inclusion of the excavation expense in the total cost of the water system"
